زمینه و هدف: امروزه مزایای ساختمان­های سبز بر حفاظت از انرژی و آب به خوبی مورد تحقیق و شناخته شده است. با این حال، کیفیت محیط داخلی و مزایای سلامت انسان در ساختمان­های سبز به طور کامل ارزیابی نشده است. در حال حاضر عملکرد ساختمان­های سبز در مطالعات مختلف متفاوت است­. به گونه­ای که حصول اتفاق­ نظر در مورد برتری ساختمان­های سبز را دشوار می­سازد­.
روش کار: این مطالعه برآن است­ تا با بررسی نظام­ مند پژوهش­های موجود به این سوال پاسخ دهد ­که ایا افراد در ساختمان ­های سبز سالم­تر و راضی­تر از ساختمان­ های غیر­سبز هستند. برای این منظور در مطالعات مورد بررسی فاکتور هایی که هر پژوهش مورد ارزیابی قرار داده است و همچنین نوع سیستم رتبه ­بندی ساختمان، مورد بررسی قرار گرفت.
یافته ها : از مهمترین نتایج این مطالعه شناسایی فاکتورهای مهمی در کیفیت محیط داخلی از جمله طراحی معماری، زیبایی­ شناسی فرم، ارگونومی و ... ­ است که کمتر در مطالعات به آن­ها ­پرداخته ­شده است. همچنین نتایج پراکندگی مطالعات در سرتاسر جهان حاکی از آن بود که بر خلاف تصور نگارندگان ساختمان­هایی با گواهی­ LEED و  BREEAM(­آمریکا و اروپا) افت بیشتری در پارامترها­ی محیط داخلی شاهد هستند، این در حالی است که در ساختمان­های سبز واقع در قاره آسیا (به خصوص سنگاپور و تایوان) شاهد بهبود عملکرد هستیم.
نتیجه گیری: در نهایت این پژوهش نظام ­مند به این نتیجه رسید که به طور قطع نمی­توان ادعا کرد ساختمان­ های سبز از رضایت ­و سلامت ­بیشتری نسبت به ساختمان­ های غیر­سبز بهره­ مند هستند.
