In summary, in order to control tuberculosis, we require rapid diagnosis of TB patients, who act as the source of disease; and if remain untreated, these patients can spread the disease throughout the population. Therefore, we need to introduce the new targets for quick and accurate identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and CYP141 gene is a new target for rapid and accurate direct identification of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in clinical specimens.
